The Fanas Tree
The state is famous for a unique tree (Al Fanas)
which grows in one of the villages of the state. it is one of the rare trees in
the Sultanate which was brought from Zanzibar almost two centuries. It reaches
a height of about 19 meters. And its fruit is of a large size and looks like a
pumpkin, and tastes like honey. Its flowers are tall. This tree bear fruit at
the beginning of the month of June, Where fruits appear in the trunk of the
tree. A pure smell comes out of the fruits as an evidence of maturity.
